3 Day PLEIN AIR WORKSHOP - ISLE OF ARRAN - DEPOSIT

We'll be spending 3 glorious days painting and sketching en plein air on the Isle of Arran .

Friday 30th May - Sunday 1st June
10.30am-3.30pm each day

The full weekend cost is £275- Balance of £225 is due first week in May - you'll receive an email with how to pay at end of April

Join me on this extra special ALL NEW 3 day workshop, surrounded by the inspiring dramatic scenery and coastline of Arran. It really is Scotland in Miniature.

This workshop is about allowing yourself to relax and enjoy sketching and painting outdoors - not from photos, not from memory - but right there IN the moment, IN the environment, IN the elements. There really is NOTHING quite like it!

We'll be kicking off on big sheets of paper, mixed media and charcoal - moving from there into sketchbooks - and finally working on a series of paintings EN PLEIN AIR and in the studio.

You'll get to enjoy TWO locations - both are wonderfully inspiring in any weather:

Kildonan Shore, based in the Kildonan Village Hall
Friday 30th - Saturday 31st May, 10.30am - 3.30pm each day

Corrie Village, based in the Corrie Village Hall
Sunday 1st June, 10.30am - 3.30pm

What's included:

• Sketchbook
• Large sheet paper & charcoal
• Tea/coffee, treats
• Loads of demos and one-to-one guidance throughout the weekend

This workshop is NOT suitable for total beginners.

You're welcome to work in any medium you enjoy - even a few different mediums. I'll be demoing in charcoal, mixed media, sticks & ink, oil pastels and water-based oils.

What to bring:

• materials and surfaces you would like to use 
• Any brushes and tools you like to use
• Baby Wipes
• Clothing for ANY weather (we'll check in nearer the time)
• A seat or cushion (there are benches in both locations) or portable easel if youprefer to stand
• Drawing board (A3 minimum size)
• Packed lunch each day (lots of lovely wee cafes on the island who offer takeaway)
