🍂 AUTUMN GOLD – A Mixed Media Retreat Day

Boswell Coach House Stables, Auchinleck Estate • Saturday 19th October • 10am–4pm

As the season deepens, the landscape is filled with warmth and richness — golden ochres, russet leaves, fading seed heads and soft greys, all whispering of change and slowing down.

In this full-day creative retreat, we’ll begin with a slow, mindful walk through the estate grounds, gathering textures, shapes and inspiration from nature’s autumn offering. Then we’ll return to the warmth of the coach house — fire lit, kettle on — to spend the afternoon creating a layered mixed media piece that reflects the stillness and glow of this time of year.

Working with ink, acrylics, gold leaf, texture pastes and collage, you’ll be guided through a relaxed process of intuitive making — using the gathered materials as a starting point and letting the season shape the work.

Please bring:

• Outdoor shoes and layers for a short walk

• Any favourite mark-making tools or brushes
