🍇 A TANGLE OF BRAMBLES – An Autumn Sketch & Paint Day

Boswell Coach House Stables, Auchinleck Estate • Saturday 14th September • 10am–4pm

September brings the hedgerows alive with brambles, berries, tangled stems and fading leaves — a perfect mix of colour, texture and seasonal chaos to spark creativity.

In this full-day workshop, we’ll begin with a wander through the beautiful grounds of Auchinleck Estate, sketchbooks in hand, gathering inspiration from the tangle of nature around us. We’ll focus on mark-making, charcoal, ink, and expressive observation to capture the essence of this wild seasonal moment.

Back in the cosy coach house, we’ll use what we’ve gathered — both visually and physically — to develop a personal response in mixed media. Expect a layered, textural approach using collage, ink, pastel, and acrylic(anything goes as far as this afternoon is concerned) resulting in a lively piece full of autumnal energy.
